Find your Light
Healing through Integration and Connection. Learn to dance with your darkness so you can begin to experience your light
ABOUT ME
I have supported individuals from diverse backgrounds who face a variety of mental health challenges. My greatest passion lies in helping those dealing with anxiety, life transitions, trauma, and self-esteem issues. After several years in community mental health, I realized that traditional office therapy isn’t suitable for everyone. I have the unique opportunity to offer therapy on a farm with a herd of equines. While I still provide office therapy, I find the experience of engaging in equine-assisted psychotherapy to be the most fulfilling. Facilitating a unique bond between clients and the equine herd brings me great joy.
I believe the first step to healing in therapy is developing a safe and trusted relationship with your therapist. It is essential for me that my clients feel comfortable being honest, safe, heard, and seen. I take pride in being compassionate with my clients while also encouraging them to push their boundaries when needed.
I utilize various therapeutic modalities in my practice because I believe that everyone’s needs are different, and a single approach may not suit everyone. The modalities I use include Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, Deep Brain Reorienting, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Mindfulness, Somatic Awareness, and Psychodynamic Therapy. I am grateful to have spent the last several years working and training at The Island Institute for Trauma Recovery.
Outside of Therapy
Outside of the office, you can find me hanging out and riding horses. If I am not riding horses, I will be taking long walks, going to metalcore shows, powerlifting, reading horror and fantasy books, or listening to my favorite true crime and paranormal podcast.
